Foster Friess
What the hell is going? Why is a guy on TV saying that back in his day women used to use Bayer aspirin as contraception?
Meet Foster Friess, rich guy and republican campaign financier who's pet project at the moment is Rick Santorum. He was on MSNBC recently and left talking head Andrea Martin speechless when he said, "Back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn't that costly."
Oddly enough, Friess was trying to question why contraception is even being debated right now when there are more pressing issues like the economy, etc. We kind of agree with you there, Foster, but what you do not seem to not understand is that your candidate of choice DOES talk a lot about birth control and what he would do about it if he became president.
Of course, Friess doesn't really think that Bayer is actually an effective form of birth control, his statement is just a "polite" way of saying that women should just keep their legs closed—the "joke" being being that if you had to hold a pill with your knees, you would have to keep your legs closed. Get it?
Not gonna score many points with the ladies, Foster. First off, blaming all unwanted pregnancies on just the women is a bit of an archaic, old boy notion. It takes two to tango. Also, it's just not realistic and the majority of Americans are not behind that sentiment.
Your logic is right up there with the best Grandpa Simpson's rants.
This is exactly why we stopped watching cable news channels.
